Since the inception of the Destitute Welfare Trust, the DWT has emerged as a trustworthy non-governmental organization in the country. Trust’s activities are numerous in the above mentioned areas. There are certain areas the Trust has achieved tremendous success like the Sewing/Apparel (20 years); Beauty Culture (20 years); Handicrafts (18 years); IT/ITEs (13 years); and Food Processing (10 years). In the last three years 3,055 persons were trained in these areas. There are certain activities’ expenditures were born by the DWT itself to fulfill its vision and mission.
The Trust has been associated with Central/State Government projects (Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and MP Government). The DWT has got the “ISO9000: 2008” Certification for its functioning.
A leadership training programme for minority women under the banner of Nai Roshni sponsored by the Ministry of Minority Affairs was organized by Destitute Welfare Trust in May 2014 at Kota.
In this Leadership Programme, 125 women belonging to the minority group were given awareness of schemes of Govt of India in different 5 groups comprising 25 women in each group.
The aim of the leadership training programme was to create awareness of various Govt. schemes. 80 women were benefitted from this programme and availed the loan facilities of Rs.50,000 to start their own businesses i.e. Selling fabrics, fruits & vegetable vendoring and got stipend for the school going children.
